A Multi-stage sampling technique was used to determine the sample for the study. Primary data were collected through a structured questionnaire. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to achieve the objectives of this study. The result of socioeconomic characteristics revealed the mean age of 38 and 39 years for Nerica 1 and non-Nerica 1 respondents, 90.2% and 89.6% were males, the average of 8 persons per house and average farm size was 1.5 and 2.1 for Nerica 1 and non-Nerica 1 respondent. The result showed that a larger proportion of 81.1% of Nerica 1 respondents were members of the cooperative. The Majority 65.9% of Nerica 1 respondents had an extension visit. The level at which Nerica 1 technology was low. The adoption of Nerica 1 rice had a positive and significant impact on the yield of respondents at 1% probability level. It is concluded that the adoption of Nerica 1 rice has an impact on the yield of respondents. Thus, it is recommended that farmers should be linked with seed companies and research institutes through extension agents to access certified seeds at an affordable price. </em></p> ER -
