The Journal of Agricultural Extension (JAE) publishes conceptual papers and empirical research that tests extend, or build agricultural extension theory and contributes to the practice of extension worldwide.

JAE is devoted to the advancement of knowledge of agricultural extension services and practices through the publication of original and empirically based research, focusing on; extension administration and supervision, programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, diffusion and adoption of innovations; extension communication models and strategies; extension research and methodological issues; nutrition extension; extension youth programme; women-in-agriculture; extension, marginalized and vulnerable groups, Climate Change and the environment, farm and produce security, ICT, innovation systems.

We encourage research librarians to list this journal among their library's electronic journal holdings. As well, it may be worth noting that this journal's open-source publishing system is suitable for libraries to host for their faculty members to use with journals they are involved in editing (see Open Journal Systems).
